Component Balance with Unmeasured Components

If you are balancing multiple components in a balance point or process network, but not all components are measured by each analyzer, you must specify whether or not an individual component is measured. In these types of systems, each component has its own independent solvability. This means that some components can calculate reconciled values and others have estimated values, in addition due to solvability in the same flow. To specify that a component is not measured, but needs to be estimated, use the Analyzer Configuration of the Component Data Reference, and deselect the Measured field of that component.

The figure below shows the component is unmeasured.Figure 268: Analyzer Configuration - Unmeasured component

For further information about this configuration see . An example of this balance, 'Component Balance with Independent Component Solvability', can be found under "Component Examples."
